It was like...the entire world came together on this day....the day Obama got elected as the President of United States. I have never followed elections so closely as I did this year. It was an invigorating experience.
People all over the world waited to see what Amercia's choice was?.... Many in the United States had taken their day off, many went back home early, many went to the bars to celebrate. Even though it was predicted who the winner was, everyone just waited for that moment. The moment to see Obama live...the moment to hear Obama live.
The celebrations had started, the news flashed all over in Times Sq....people screeming, dancing, hugging (hugging strangers).
The crowd in Grant Park Chicago was implausible. People waited for hours to see Obama. People cried when they saw him, choked when they heard his speech....his words were powerful [He promised, "I will listen to you... I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation... Block by block, brick by brick, callused hand by callused hand."]. He made them feel they do count.....
It was an awesome sight to see everyone happy.....happy that they made the right choice ...
