QUEEN!!! OR BABY!!!

"She wanted to be treated like a QUEEN and when she couldn't become one ...she behaved like a BABY.."

When I got back from work today - (my thoughts have been wondering since morning - from work to what am I doing in life :) etc etc ...)... I sat in front of TV with food. I flipped through the channels till my eye caught at this program called "INTERVENTION" ..(this program is about helping people who really need help and are helpless)...

In today's episode (this is the first time I am watching) they are showing about a girl called Allison, 22yrs, who is addictive to inhalers (used for computer dusters) and her problem was being deserted by everyone from her young age...(she went through a child molestation...and the molester got away...then her parents got divorced..she missed her father...she got engaged 11times and divorced 2 times..all these by the age of 22yrs). She would inhale like 10 bottles in a day. During her college her boyfriend had introduce to inhalers and Allison was addicted since then. She dropped out of college...was divorced and dating an older guy (who was helping her financially)..

Allison, a beautiful girl, was always looking for love ...for attention and felt deserted. She went through a painful life and was living a painful life. Her family came together (mother, sister and grandmom) contacted "Intervention" team for help. But it was not easy (as I see) to convince Allison that she can get better. She refused ...stubborn.. did not care about anyone... she was authoritative... confident ... every member of her family were pleeding her.. the "INTERVENTION" team was being nice to her. But she didn't care for anyone. Then they had bring in police to handcuff her and take her. Allison is now under treatment without drugs for 65days and making good process.

The point is many of us (women) have lived (and are living) with deep emotional scares from childhood to now....they keep coming back in different shapes and sizes in all phases of our lives. One should have the courage to face it ....deal with it ..rather than ending one own self.

Know that you are more than what you think...You are a women! (powerful! and strong!)...

BOLLYWOOD! The Vogue...

Bollywood! Indian cinema....must say is an unbeaten industry by itself.
The quality of movies, standards, fashion, style, outlook...you name it, everything and everyone (almost) is/are infulenced by Indian cinema.
Dostana, Karan Johar's new release.....its different (as ususal). Location is budged from NYC to Miami (unlike all other Karan Johar's movies). How many of us live in these cities? How many of us would have visited these places? how many are planning to visit? how many might not even visit? ... :). I must say, the credit goes to Indian Cinema for portraying the already whopping cities into a mega locations. Every bollywood movie has a striking introduction to the leading roles...Dostana has it too...an excellent introduction of the sexy John Abraham :). Ha! he is HOT! ... :) (Abhisek is alright..)..
The movie is a complete entertainer...the Cast (mind boggling), location (stunning), richness, music, dance, drama, fashion, comedy...boxed together for a full entertainment can happen only in Indian Cinema.
I just love movies...one day, a friend with similar interest was talking abt his experience watching "Dhoom -2". He mentioned that Dhoom -2 was a total family entertainer. I was amazed *$/*&*...and asked him how is that a family entertainer??? ...So he goes on ..."I enjoyed coz of the hot girls plus the movie, my Wife liked it coz she could check out the latest fashion plus the hot! Hrithik, my Daughter enjoyed it coz she liked the music plus she could pickup some good dance moves and finally my 5year old Son liked it coz he could check out the latest bikes" lol!. Isn't this amazing, what a bollywood movie can deliver?
There are many Indian classical dances that are popular but the trendiest is the Bollywood Dance. I know a group in NYC who are very talented and have won many awards for their performances (multicultural group - indians, americans, russians etc learning bollywood dance). Their dance moves to the bollywood numbers are on par with any lead bollywood actors.
Indian cinema..is a true trendsetter....

YES WE CAN!!! ..

It was like...the entire world came together on this day....the day Obama got elected as the President of United States. I have never followed elections so closely as I did this year. It was an invigorating experience.

People all over the world waited to see what Amercia's choice was?.... Many in the United States had taken their day off, many went back home early, many went to the bars to celebrate. Even though it was predicted who the winner was, everyone just waited for that moment. The moment to see Obama live...the moment to hear Obama live.

The celebrations had started, the news flashed all over in Times Sq....people screeming, dancing, hugging (hugging strangers).

The crowd in Grant Park Chicago was implausible. People waited for hours to see Obama. People cried when they saw him, choked when they heard his speech....his words were powerful [He promised, "I will listen to you... I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation... Block by block, brick by brick, callused hand by callused hand."]. He made them feel they do count.....

It was an awesome sight to see everyone happy.....happy that they made the right choice ...
